The fishery, Föreda Mill reservoir, managed by the SLRG fishing guides, is situated between Vetlanda and Ekenässjön. The dam/reservoir, is clearly visible from the road and located beside a car park with a couple of large information boards, also with instructions how to buy fishing licenses by the smart phone or over the Internet.
There is also a public VC and a picnic area. To the small island in the pond, leads a pedestrian bridge. It is also arranged for disabled and with a small shelter against rain on the island. The island also has barbecue facilities, sometimes supplied with wood too. There is another wind shield for fly anglers on the small cliffs in the south end of the pond. Accommodation options in cabins are also very close in Slättemo! Or in Kvarndammens Youth hostel! The lake shore around the pond is not boarded despite some marshy places, so wellies / rubber boots are needed!
Species: Brown trout and rainbow trout, also pike – last year’s biggest 8, 2 kilo. (Great on fly!)
Fishing methods: Only handheld fishing gear (live bait is not allowed, nor course angling!). Fly fishing and C & R preferred. Exclusive guided belly boat fishing by appointment.
Summer season starts second Saturday in May until 31/10, daily between 07.00 -22.00.
