Fishing-Småland
Ideally positioned for the avid angler.
Trollebo which in Swedish means the nest
for the "Trolls" is ideally placed among the southern coarse
angling waters of Småland. The holiday village with semi-detached
cottages can also offer a swimming area and barbecue on the lakeside for
the rest of the anglers family.
Exiting sceneries are the Hells Holes and
Tollebo ports. Fall is for many the prime time for mushrooms.
Closest town is Vetlanda some 25km away.
Angling:
For angling the area has a lot to offer.
The coarse species are tench, burbot, rudd and roach. But many anglers
also like to fish the resident pike and zander.
Fishing methods vary from trolling with lures
to live baiting and coarse angling.
For
locals fishing from boats is preferred and the spinfishing is most common
for pike. Fishing peaks during spring and fall. But the ice fishing can
be suprisingly good.
The season:
The summer season is before first
of June and after first of September.
Trollebo is a good starting point for visiting
other lakes in the area.
